Anna Marie Ashbaugh

Anna Marie Ashbaugh, age 62, of Potterville, was welcomed home into the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2021. She was born January 22, 1959, the daughter of Reuben and Mary (Philips) Burkholder, in Tooles, France, where her father was stationed in the US Army. On August 22, 1981, Anna married William Joseph Ashbaugh in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter-in-law. She was an exceptional cook and baker and loved preparing meals for everyone. Anna had a true servant’s heart and was always concerned about the needs of others. She was a devoted member of Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansing. Anna loved teaching the preschool Sunday School Class and instilling the love of her Savior in their hearts. She also had a strong sense of adventure and always looked forward to family trips, especially the trip made to Disney. In her spare-time she loved crafting with her grandchildren and gardening. Anna is survived by her husband of 40 years, William; daughters: Jennifer (Josh) Howe of Charlotte, Danielle Ashbaugh of Chicago; son, William (Jessica) Pope of Pennsylvania; cherished grandchildren: Michael Howe, Amelia Howe, Emery Howe; sisters: Barbara Burkholder of Pennsylvania, Mary Lynn (Jim) Littler of Pennsylvania; beloved nephews: Ryan Littler, Zach Littler, Tristian Rock, Ryan Rock, and Cory Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 1 P.M. at Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7740 W. St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917.
