Barbara Jean O'Teney

Barbara Jean (Zeis) O’Teney, of Charlotte, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from the Eaton County Medical Care Facility after an extended illness. Barbara was born September 8, 1928 in Lansing the daughter of Lawrence and Cora Mildred (Aldrich) Zeis and was a lifelong Charlotte resident. She had been employed at the former Wilcox-Gay Company of Charlotte, was a member of the Charlotte Church of Christ and had been an avid Bowler. She is survived by: son, Donovan (Roberta) O’Teney of Ocala, FL; daughters, Molly Koonce of Bronston, KY, Robyn O’Teney of Potterville and Marla Slone of Black River Falls, WI; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by: Mother, Mildred in 1985; Father, Lawrence in 1989; sons, Dana O’Teney in 1974 and James O’Teney in 2010; granddaughter, Valerie Cranmore and brother, David Zeis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor John Bailey officiating. Interment will be in the Millerburg Cemetery.
