Bethel Marie Collins

Beth M. (Greenfield) Collins, age 89 of Olivet, MI, died Monday, February 07, 2011. Beth was born July 30, 1921 the daughter of Claude and Julia (Durnin) Greenfield and lived most of her life in the Olivet and Marshall area. She was a 1939 Graduate of Olivet High School, had worked at Kelloggs and Postum in Battle Creek and later was co-owner, with her husband, of the former Collins Clothing in Olivet. She was an honorary member of Sigma Beta Sorority, had volunteered at the Oak Chest in Olivet and had delivered Meals On Wheels. She enjoyed Bowling, playing Bridge and sewing. Surviving are: her daughter, Lee Ann (Jeyre) Keen of Charlotte; her son, John (Brenda) Collins of Olivet; grandchildren, Nicole Keen, Krista Keen, Parker (Christy), Garrett (Kelly), Taylor and Madison Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years, Louis Collins in 2009, daughter, Mary Beth Collins and brother, Thomas Greenfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Bellevue with Rev. Fr. Francis Mossholder officiating. The only visitation will be on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the Church. Interment will be in the Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall.
