Betty Ione Pentecost

Betty I. Pentecost Charlotte, MI Age 91 died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at the Eaton Community Hospice House. Betty was born Sept. 24, 1919 in Eaton County the daughter of Charles and Marie (Barnes) Gusey and had been a lifelong Eaton County resident. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid Detroit Tigers fan (especially Brandon Inge), enjoyed fishing and most of all was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are: her children, Gary (Dori) Pentecost of Toledo, OH, Linda Tokar of Charlotte, Sharon (Mike) Smith of Lapeer, Terry (Holly) Pentecost of Charlotte, Cindy (Joe) Leimback of Charlotte and special daughter, Jeanne Ayres of Lake Odessa; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, John C. Pentecost in 1988; son, James Pentecost in 2009; brother, Harold Gusey and sisters, Vivian Southern, Virginia Summers and Marian Elliston. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte with Rev. Arthur Salisbury officiating. Memorial contributions may go to Eaton Community Hospice or the Heartland Hospice.
