Betty Jean Biggs

Betty Jean Biggs of Charlotte, MI, age 92, died Friday, June 12, 2015 in Milwaukee, WI. Mrs. Biggs was born March 12, 1923 in Halstead, KS the daughter of Fred and Leota (Miles) Kinzer and had been a Charlotte resident since 1965. She was a retired Charlotte Public Schools Teacher. She was a Charter member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Charlotte and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by: two sons, Alan (Nevin) Biggs of Brookfield, WI and Michael Biggs of Roscommon, MI; four grandchildren, Melisa Biggs, Nicki Shinners, Bradley Biggs and Annie Biggs and her sister, Donna Coombs of Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alden H. Biggs in 1989. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 830 N. Cochran Ave. in Charlotte with Pastor David Keller officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte and on Thursday from 10-11 AM until time of services at the Church. Memorial contributions may go to the Peace Lutheran Church. Further services will be held in Whitewater, Kansas with the Lamb Funeral Home in Charge.
