Betty Lou Ewing

Betty Lou Ewing, age 93, of Dimondale gained her angel wings on September 30, 2018. She was born September 25, 1925, in Lansing the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Dalton) VanPatten. She married the love of her life Stan Ewing on December 15, 1945. During her lifetime she worked for the Holt Public Schools where she worked as a lunch lady. Betty and Stan enjoyed square dancing. Betty had many hobbies, but was especially fond of gardening and quilting. She loved spending time with her family and was loved dearly by her all who knew her. She will be missed greatly. Betty is survived by her sister, Marilyn Doerr; son, Todd Ewing; grandchildren: Greg (Ashley) Hill, Travis (Gary) Hills, Kayla Ewing, James Ewing; great grandchild, Reilly Moore; and several loved nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stan Ewing; daughter, Ginger Hills; and grandson Derek Hills. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 11 A.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dimondale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
