Betty M Masters

Betty M. (Bargy) Masters of Charlotte, formerly of Olivet, Age 88 passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Fairview AFC Home in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Betty was born on November 23, 1923, in Emmett County, the daughter of Lawrence and Emma (Kleinfelt) Bargy. She worked at Wilcox-Gay in Charlotte and Post Cereals in Battle Creek before becoming a stay at home mother. She enjoyed going camping, fishing and going up north where she was born and raised. Surviving are her daughters, Julia (Charles) Dies and Joyce Masters of Charlotte; Granddaughters, Angela Blackburn and Brenda Dies; Great grandchildren, Brianna, Wyatt and Ty Blackburn; Brother, Donald (Dorothy) Bargy of Potterville; Sisters, Ruth (Ed) Gierzak of Charlotte and Martha (Peg) Perry of Olivet and Sister-in-law, Delores Carleton of Olivet. She was preceded in death by: her parents; Husband, William (Bill) Masters and Brother, Earl Bargy. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 preceded by 1½ hours of visitation at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte. Kenneth Carleton will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date on the family lot in the Porter Cemetery in Convis Township of Calhoun County.
