Billie K. Day

Billie K. (Wilson) Day, age 86 of Charlotte, MI, died Tuesday, December 01, 2009 at the Eaton Community Hospice House. Mrs. Day was born June 17, 1923 in Kokomo, IN the daughter of William H. and Chloe (Gordon) Wilson and had been a Charlotte resident for 32 years coming from Lansing. She had been employed by General Motors for 13 years, by Kelly Services and Michigan National Bank from where she retired. During her High School days she was in the Band where she was first chair violinist and played the piano. She was an excellent seamstress, had a great love of all animals, enjoyed travelling and especially enjoyed her grandkids. She was currently a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are: her husband of 60 years, Garth J. Day; her daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Lilley of Charlotte; 2 grandchildren, Lia Lilley and Alex Lilley; 2 brothers, Dale Wilson of Indiana and David Wilson of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Robin Crouch officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A. M until time of services at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Eaton Community Hospice or the First Baptist Church. Envelopes available at the Funeral Home.
