Bruce Nelson Dowding, Sr.

Bruce N. Dowding, Sr., of Eaton Rapids, MI, formerly of the Olivet and Charlotte areas, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at the Eaton County Health and Rehabilitation Services in Charlotte. Bruce was born March 21, 1939 in Charlotte the son of Raymond and Mildred (Greenfield) Dowding. He was a retired farmer and employee of A.E./Hoover in Charlotte. He is survived by: daughters, Cheryl Marriott of Eaton Rapids and Cathy Dowding of Olivet; son, Bruce Dowding, Jr. of Olivet and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene (Umbarger) Dowding and daughter, Shelly Doty. According to Bruce’s prior request, cremation has taken place. No visitation or services will be held.
