Carolyn Lynne Kimmel

Carolyn “Lynne” (Lux) Kimmel of Charlotte, MI, age 72, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at her residence after a short illness. Lynne was born April 15, 1942 in Marshall, MI the daughter of Donald L. and Dorothy (Bayley) Lux and had lived in Charlotte most of her life. She was a 1960 Graduate of Charlotte High School and had attended Airline Stewardess School in Kansas City, MO. She had worked for a time for Clever Realty and later for Francis Burns Motor Home Sales until 1968 when she became a fulltime housewife. She was a member of the Charlotte Eagles Aerie #3552 where she had served as Madam President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are: her husband of 52 years, Robert E. Kimmel; Daughter, Diana L. White of Charlotte; Son, Terry (Maureen) Kimmel of Midway, GA; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Hanks, Jamie Robert (Whitney) Kimmel and Joshua Robert Allen Webb; 3 great grandchildren; Brother Robert Lux of Manistee; Sister, Barbara (Gary) Bruce of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Lux. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home of Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Bellevue, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM with an Eagles Memorial Service being held at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
