Carrol Dick Parr

Carrol "Dick" Parr, age 81, of Charlotte passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Charlotte. He was born July 15, 1936 in Charlotte the son of Carson and Evah (Rawson) Parr. Dick graduated from Charlotte High School with the class of 1954. On August 24, 1957 in Olivet he married Sharon Ann Sherman. Dick was a dedicated lifelong dairy farmer. He was proud of his farm and saw to it that everything was done properly. Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon; sons: Gary (Kary) Parr of Charlotte, Alan Parr of Eaton Rapids, Joe (Carol) Parr of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren: Nicholas Parr, Emily Parr, Connor Parr, Xander Parr, Ethan Parr, Christin Parr, Alec Parr; sisters: Jean Davis, Venice Martin, Anona Osborne, Sharon Bayes, Linda (Mike) Kehres. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Bryan; and brother, Wayne Parr. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2 PM at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Heather Nolen and Pastor Kurt Kuhlmann officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
