Catherine Bassar

Catherine Bassar, age 58, of Charlotte passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was born November 10, 1966, in Lansing, the daughter of Raymond and Glenda (Hall) Carter. Catherine was raised in Olivet and graduated from Olivet High School with the class of 1984. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family with a deep devotion. She cherished each and every opportunity she had to spend time together with them. Catherine loved traveling and seeing new places throughout the country. She loved winter-time and seeing the snow fall brought her great joy. Catherine was the all-time Mario Party champion and loved playing with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Spencer Wertz) Lawrence; grandchildren, Lilith Lawrence, Ellarie Lawrence, Silas Wertz, Hazen Wertz; and brother, Charles Carter.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Palmoneada Jones; and uncle, Edwin Hall.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time.
