Catherine Lynn Nichols

Catherine Lynn (Heisler) Nichols of Vermontville, MI, formerly of Charlotte and Olivet, age 62 died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 as the result of an auto accident. Cathy was born June 29, 1952 in Charlotte the daughter of Cecil Junior and Marjorie (Fuller) Heisler and was a life resident of the area. She was a 1970 Graduate of Olivet High School and was a former member of the Walton Wonders 4-H Club. She was currently employed in the office at the Ayers Basement Systems of Lansing. She enjoyed sewing and camping and was an avid reader. Surviving are: her loving husband of more than 19 years, Jerry D. Nichols; 2 daughters, Alexis Lanning of Vermontville and Ashley Johnson of Marshall; her mother, Marjorie Heisler (Ted) Marshall of Charlotte; 4 siblings, Susan Fitchett of Charlotte, Douglas (Judy) Heisler of Springport, David (JoEllen) Heisler of Charlotte and Carol (Jeff) Swint of Midland; 3 grandchildren, Aaliyah, Adam and Aysia; many nieces, nephews, additional grandchildren and a host of friends including special friend, Elsie (Lloyd, deceased) Wolever. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Junior Heisler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Daniel Smith officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
