Cheryl Whitehead-Rydzewski

Cheryl Whitehead-Rydzewski, age 71, of Olivet passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. She was born June 14, 1946 in Harrisville, MI the daughter of Alton and Jean (Rosecrans) Effrick. She married Gerald Rydzewski on November 16, 2007 in Charlotte. Cheryl adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She took advantage of each and every opportunity to spend together with them. Cheryl enjoyed playing Words with Friends, keeping up with her many Facebook friends, and traveling to many of Michigans magnificent lighthouses. She was always ready to enjoy a meal out on the town or even just a cup of coffee with friends. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughters: Loretta Heisler of Marshall, Melissa (Jerry Miller) King of Marshall, Tiffany Whitehead of Olivet; son, Anthony (Angela) Heisler of Olivet ; grandchildren: Amanda McCormack, Andre McCormack, Ethan King, Devin (Emily) King, Bryce Heisler, Arianna Whitehead, Kensington Thick, Alivia Rogers; great granddaughter, Jaidyn Gray; siblings: Keith (Roxanne) Effrick of Oscoda, Connie (Doug) Maxwell of Spokane, Washington; and Cathy Renner of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Brady Heisler. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 2 PM at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Cheryls memory to the family.
