Chester Chet Franks

Chester Edward Franks, age 89, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. He was born September 12, 1930, in Grand Rapids, MI the son of William and Mildred (Fox) Franks. He grew up on a farm in Sunfield. Chet honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Chet retired after many years of service from Delta Township where he worked in maintenance. Chet is survived by his children: Tina (Steve) Munro of Onondaga, Jack Franks of Charlotte, Scott (Margarita) Franks of Memphis, TN, Renee Franks of Charlotte, Joy Franks of Charlotte; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; and sister, Margie (Jerry) Horstman of Barryton. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 61 years, Louise; daughter, Cindy Franks; 3 sisters; and one brother. Due to the current restrictions a memorial service will be held at a later date.
