Clarene “Sue” (Brown) Sherman age 75 of Charlotte, MI died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 at her residence. Sue was born June 28, 1935 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Rolland and Frances (Heinze) Brown. She had been the former owner/operator of Clarene’s Apparel Shop in Charlotte and was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Surviving are: her husband, Douglas Sherman; Son, Bryan (Stephanie) Sherman of Ada, MI; Daughter, Amy (Marc) VanderWal of Ephrata, PA; Six grandchildren, Trevor, Lucas & Carter Sherman and Jacob, Avery & Arianne VanderWal and her brother, Reginald Brown of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at the First Lutheran Church, 550 E. Shepherd St., Charlotte with Pastor Timothy Olson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 from 6-8 P. M. at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte. Memorial contributions may go to the First Lutheran Church.
