Clifford Eugene Spotts

Clifford E. Spotts of Charlotte, MI, age 90, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility after an extended illness. Clifford was born October 29, 1924 in Charlotte the son of Floyd and Pearl (Hastings) Spotts and was a lifelong resident of Brookfield Township. He was a lifelong farmer and had worked 21 years for the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. from where he retired. He had previously worked for the Aluminum Extrusions Co., the former Orchard Grove Dairy and had driven milk trucks. He was a member of the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church in Charlotte. Surviving are: his wife of 68 years, Frances (Harmsen) Spotts; two children, Steven Spotts and Paula (Louis) DeFabio both of Charlotte; five grand daughters, Lori Spotts, Kristina Hurley, Becky DeFabio, Crystal Spotts and Stevie Jo Spotts and four great grand children. He was preceded in death by his son, Linden Spotts and brother, Kenneth Spotts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Gary Wales officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church or the Eaton County Medical Care Facility.
