Clifford Leroy Beckett, 69 of Charlotte Michigan went home to our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 1, 2022. He was born in Hannibal, Missouri on March 21, 1953. He is survived by his wife Tedi Beckett, two sons Chad and Tim, seven grandchildren, his father Charles, sister Fran, and brother Paul. He attended Arlington High School in Texas and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He obtained a Masters of Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He served the Lord as Minister of Music and Youth in two Baptist churches in Texas. He also worked as a Biomedical Electronics Technician at the VA hospital in Amarillo, Texas. In 1986 he and his family moved to Michigan where he worked at MSU in the Biomedical Department of the College of Osteopathic Medicine. For 35 years he assisted professors and graduate students in biomedical research. His greatest love was music and worshiping the Lord with solos and singing in church choirs. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, teaching them many practical hands-on skills. He loved his family and loved his Lord. He left his earthly family to join the heavenly choir. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 11 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Potter officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Center Eaton Cemetery in Charlotte.
