Colleen Joyce Fisher

Colleen Joyce (Carter) Fisher of Charlotte, MI, age 50, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness. Colleen was born March 8, 1964 in Charlotte and had lived most of her life in the Charlotte area. She was a 1983 Graduate of Charlotte High School and was a member of the Charlotte Church of Christ. She drove bus for special needs children at Dean Transportation and also did respite care in her home for special needs children in memory of her daughter Samantha. Surviving are: Her husband, Bruce A. Fisher; sons, Anthony L. (fianc, Samantha Heintz) Cook of Potterville and Joseph L. (Terri) Cook of Nashville; daughter, Molly D. Galvin of Charlotte; her parents, Vernie & Linda Nichols of Bellevue; sister, Rae Jane (Frank) Cortright of Olivet; brother, Jodee (Sandy) Nichols of Jackson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special family friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Samantha Joyce Cook and biological father, Virgil Carter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor John Bailey officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the family or to McLaren Hospice.
