Connie Sue Miller Charlotte, Michigan Age 63 passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Sparrow Hospital after an extended illness. Connie was born Sept. 8, 1948 in Boston, MA and had lived most of her life in Charlotte, MI. She was a 1966 Graduate of Charlotte High School and received her BA from WMU. She had been employed as Placement Specialist for the Eaton Intermediate School District Michigan Works Program from where she retired in June 2010. She previously held a number of Corporate positions in the Detroit area. Connie was actively involved in her community as: a member of the First Congregational Church UCC and its Choir and Board of Deacons, was a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs Charlotte Chapter, served as a volunteer at the Hayes Green Beach Hospital, served as Treasurer of the Friends of Maple Hill Cemetery, was a coordinator of the annual Crop Walk and served on the Charlotte Tax Assessment Board of Review. She and her family were members of the Founders Circle of AL!VE. In addition, she was a member of the Community Relations Committee for HGB, was Secretary of the Board of Can Do! and a member of the Charitable Assets Pillar of Can Do! She was an avid reader and belonged to several book groups and was an accomplished photographer. Surviving are: her husband, Robert D. “Bob” Miller; her daughter, Sarah Collick of Chicago, IL; step daughters, Jennifer (Duane) Huff of Columbiaville, MI and Sandra Dymowski of Davison, MI; 5 grandchildren, Zachary (Kristy) Huff, Amanda Huff, Jessica, Kyle and Samson Dymowski; 3 great grandchildren, Amyah, Alexia and AvaLynn Huff; her brother, Wes (Joan Weber) Fredenburg of St. Paul, MN and members of Bob Fultons family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jerre Fulton Fredenburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the First Congregational Church UCC, Charlotte with Rev. Philip Hobson officiating. Cremation to follow services. A family graveside interment of her ashes will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte and on Wednesday from 10:00 A. M. until service time at the Church.
