D. Marlene Bowers

Marlene Bowers of Charlotte, MI, age 77, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte. Marlene was born Feb. 23, 1937 in Charlotte the daughter of William H. and Minnie (Davis) Pratt. She was a member of the South Church in Lansing. Surviving are: her husband of 59 years, Richard F. Bowers; Son, Paul L. Bowers of Charlotte; daughter, Catherine Wakley of Hastings; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sister, Maxine Bradford of Texas. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, David A. Bowers; Grandson, Robbie Bowers and her brother, Leonard Pratt. Per Marlenes request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Drive, Lansing, Michigan with visitation from 10:00 A. M. until time of Memorial service. Memorial contributions may go to the American Diabetes Association, the Parkinson Foundation or the South Church.
