Daniel Edmond Boucher

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Daniel Edmond Boucher, age 71, on December 11, 2024, due to post-surgical complications. Dan was born on April 3, 1953, in Escanaba, MI, to the late Wayne and Donna (Gallagher) Boucher.

A beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Dan will be remembered for his quick wit, tireless work ethic, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Beneath his gruff exterior was a man with a heart of gold who would go to great lengths to care for and protect his family. This was especially evident during his late wife Kimberly’s illness, when he devoted himself entirely to her care and comfort until her passing.

Dan graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in Lansing, MI, in 1971. He built a successful career as a self-employed specialist in flooring, primarily contracting through Custom Home Interiors in Charlotte, MI. His dedication to his craft left a lasting impact on both his field and those he worked with.

Dan is survived by his children; Quinn (Nikki) Boucher of Huntsville, AL, and Elyse Boucher of Charlotte, MI; his grandson, Logan Boucher of Charlotte, MI; and his siblings, Tom (Linda) Boucher of Broomfield, CO; Jeff (Cindy) Boucher of Toano, VA; Kelli (Phil) Oberlin of Eaton Rapids, MI; Erin (Joey) Lekovich of Katy, TX; Courtney (David) Hunsucker of Halletsville, TX; Shannon (Trent) Cooke of Katy, TX; and Greg (Latanya) Boucher of Tomball, TX. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Dale Peters of Duck Lake, MI; sister-in-law Terri (Jay) Goering of Newaygo, MI; and brother-in-law Mark Peters of Charlotte, MI. Also left to cherish his memory are several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kimberly (Peters) Boucher; parents Wayne and Donna Boucher; brother Michael Boucher; and mother-in-law Nancy Peters.

Per Dan’s wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Elyse and Logan Boucher. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
