David Robert Hale

David (Zip) Robert Hale of Charlotte, MI, age 64, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at his residence. Zip was born August 17, 1952 in Charlotte, MI to Donald Hale and Edith (Wonser) Hale. Zip graduated from Maple Valley High School in June 1970. He worked for several companies including General Motors, a heavy equipment operator and Spartan Motors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Edith Hale. He is survived by brothers; Dennis (Karla) and Darryl (Sue), nieces, nephews, special friends Shannon Brummette and Ralph Myers and his 4 legged companions. Zip enjoyed hill climbing and won two National events, hunting and woodworking, but most of all his love of raising AKC Golden Retrievers for which he was proud of. A Memorial service will be Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte.
