Dennis D. Morrow

Dennis D. Morrow, age 68, of DeWitt, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Sparrow Hospital with his family by his side. He was born August 4, 1951, in Lansing the son of Kenneth and Leona (Castel) Morrow. Dennis graduated from DeWitt High School in 1968. Throughout his life Dennis had a passion for music. He played the guitar and sang in numerous bands over the years. Most recently he played with the Backroad Ryders. On December 21, 1974, he married Catherine Jane Simon in DeWitt. Together they raised their family in DeWitt. Dennis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family with a deep devotion. Dennis worked as a custodian for the Lansing School District and retired after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Catherine; children: Jennifer Morrow of Lansing, Alyssa Morrow of Mt. Pleasant, Evan Morrow of DeWitt; and grandson, Jacob Patterson. Also lifelong friend, Don Sult. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Yettaw. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 11 A.M. at the Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Those desiring, may make contributions in Denniss honor to the family.
