Dewey F. Heisler of Olivet, MI, age 79 died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011 at his residence after an extended illness. Dewey was born Dec. 9, 1931 in Walton Township, Eaton County, the son of Andrew and Norine (Sharp) Heisler and was a life resident of Eaton County. He was a 1948 Graduate of Olivet High School, was a lifelong farmer and had been employed by Eaton Farm Bureau for 20 years. He had served as a Walton Township Supervisor for 17 years, was a member of the Duck Lake Farm Bureau and the Charlotte Eagles. Surviving are: his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Loveless) Heisler; three sons, Gregg (Susan) Heisler of Moscow, MI, Jeffrey (Christine) Heisler of Charlotte and Kim Heisler of Freeland, MI; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grand sons; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dwight (Helen) Heisler and Richard (Sheila) Heisler both of Olivet; brother & sister-in-law, Ward and Barb Loveless of Olivet and sister-in-law, Coralie Van Dyke of Olivet. He was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Ann Heisler and great grandson, Noah Heisler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at the Funeral Home.
