Donald Lee Chase

Donald Lee Chase of Springport, MI, age 79, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Lee was born Oct. 22, 1936 in Charlotte the son of Donald R. and Mary E. (Bradley) Chase and was a life resident of Eaton County. He was a 1955 Graduate of Olivet High School where he was active in the F.F.A and participated in Football, Basketball and Track & Field. He was a Carpenter and Plumber and was a member of the #333 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He enjoyed Camping, Fishing, Hunting and anything Outdoors. Surviving are: his wife of almost 60 years, Loraine M. (Sumerix) Chase; three children, Dawn (Robert) Peloubet of Bellville, TX, Christopher (Ute) Chase of Olivet and Belinda (Michael) Smith of Sevierville, TN; four granddaughters, Maggie and Sarah Strobel and Aubrey and Victoria Peloubet; one great grandson, Chase and his sister, Ramona Tripplet of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Mike Arnold officiating.
