Donald Leigh Miller, age 81, of Grand Ledge went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 29, 2023, at the age of 81. Don was born on December 28, 1941, in Perrinton, MI to Leigh and Mabel (Robison) Miller.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Burkle) Miller who has been faithfully at his side for 50 years; children, Donna (nee Miller) (Jon) Seeger, Jodi (Tim) Eppinga, Dean (Leigh Ann) Shippey; Grandchildren, Benjamin (Yijing Shao) Seeger, Rebecca Leigh Seeger, Allison Eppinga, Theodore (fiancé Brooke Truszkowski) Eppinga, Taylor Jo Shippey, Brooke Nicole Shippey, beloved sister Celia “Dolly” Lindsay, many loved nieces and nephews and brother-in-law John (Merrie) Burkle.
Don was predeceased by his parents, brother Richard Miller, beloved brother-in-law Howard “Sam” Lindsay and daughter Cindy Leigh Miller.
Don loved the Lord and loved his family. He was a loyal and steadfast husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, neighbor, coworker and boss to the many who knew and loved him. Don was an accomplished CPA, a McDonald’s owner/operator, founding board member of Lansing's Ronald McDonald House, founding board member of Moore Living Centers, and most recently employed at Chick-fil-A.
Don loved to play golf, especially with his dear friend Tom Hoogerhyde, cheer on MSU (Go Green!), listen to music, drink coffee (or Diet Coke) and eat popcorn.
The list of treasured people in his life is long, but the family would especially like to thank Lisa Knisely, his “right hand” during the McDonald’s years, the “angels on earth” at Fairview Grand Assisted Living, Heart to Heart Hospice which blessed Don in countless ways, his "boss", Kate, at Chick-fil-A, and many, many others.
