DONALD LEWIS MILLER Donald Lewis Miller, age 76 died on Saturday, December 5th at his home in Smyrna, TN, after an 8 year battle with cancer. Donald was a lifelong resident of Charlotte and Lansing. Donald was a long-standing student of Way International Bible Research and Teaching Ministry. Don retired in 1994, from the Owen-Brockway plant in Charlotte, where he was employed for 30 years. He served in the Michigan Army National Guard, 119th Field Artillery, for over 10 years. Donald, a beloved son of God, was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eileen, and six daughters, Margaret Sanchez, Cynthia Thomason and Roberta Miller of Lansing, Katherine (Terry) Sizeland of Olivet and Dawn (Doyle) Dunning of Nashville, TN, and Lori (David) Sjoquist of Smyrna, TN. Mr. Miller is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; Mrs. Richard (SonaLu) Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. James (Patricia) Helmker of Lakeview, Michigan and Mr. William Logan of Six Lakes, Michigan. He is predeceased by his son Stephen Miller, his Mother Dorothy Miller Bowen, two Brothers Robert Miller and Richard Miller and beloved nephews Jeffrey Gardner and Timothy Logan. Mr. Miller, will be honored at a memorial service in spring, 2010, at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte.
