Duane Earl Sinclair

Duane Earl Sinclair of Charlotte, MI, age 67, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at his home after a long illness. Duane was born June 2, 1948 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Donald and Leona (Poock) Sinclair and had lived most of his life in the Olivet area. He served in the U. S. Army from 1965-1968 and had been employed for 30 years at the Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Lansing. He was a member of Union Local #602, was a talented musician and an avid bowler. Surviving are: his wife, Nitaya (Feighner) Sinclair; 4 children, Ann (Jeremy Tooley) Sinclair of Sevierville, TN, Travis (Traci) Sinclair of Bellevue, Amanda (Jeremy) Robbe of Charlotte and Chris Sinclair of Charlotte; several step children; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Glen (Joan) Sinclair of Bellevue and Alan (Jackie) Sinclair of Olivet; 2 sisters, Nancy (Jack) Gyger of Charlotte and Elaine (Dan) Canfield of Eaton Rapids and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Caleb Storie. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In accordance with Duane’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
