Edna Belle Tomlinson

Obituary Edna B. (Moon) Tomlinson, age 84 of Charlotte, MI, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 at the Eaton Community Hospice House. Edna was born Jan. 9, 1927 in Eaton Township, Eaton County the daughter of James and Jennie (Tompkins) Moon and was an area life resident. She was a 1944 Graduate of Charlotte High School, was a 1945 Graduate of the Wayne School of Practical Nursing in Chicago, IL and was a member of the Widows Club. She had been employed at the former Wilcox-Gay/Recordio Corp. for six years, the Mich. Magnetics Co. and for 25 years at the Eaton Manor Nursing Home in Charlotte from where she retired. Survivors include: 2 sons, Ronald (Pat) Tomlinson and Charles (Brenda) Tomlinson both of Charlotte; 1 daughter, Sue Yeager of Charlotte; 2 daughters-in-law, Florence Tomlinson of Charlotte and Delores Tomlinson of California; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Shirley Moon and Norma Tomlinson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, William Tomlinson; 2 step sons, William Lee Tomlinson and Robert Allen Tomlinson; 2 brothers, Harold and Leonard Moon and sister, Doris Southward. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 at the Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue with Rev. Terry Fisher of the Lawrence Ave. United Methodist Church officiating. There will be private family visitation. Memorial contributions may go to the American Heart Association, Eaton County Medical Care Facility or Eaton Community Hospice.
