Elberta Jean Mclane

Elberta Jean McLane of St. Louis, MI, formerly of Charlotte, MI, Age 83, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at the Carson City Hospital. Mrs. McLane was born Dec. 12, 1926 at Bellevue, MI the daughter of Clark Foster and Grace Elberta (Farley) Luce and had lived most of her life in Eaton County except for the last 2 ½ years in St. Louis. Before her children were born she had worked for Post Cereals in Battle Creek. She was a member of the Good News Pentecostal Church of God in Charlotte. Surviving are: her husband of 54 years, Carroll L. McLane; daughter, Mary Ann (Thomas R.) Lobdell of St. Louis; son, John Mark McLane of Charlotte and 2 sisters, Marge Luce of Galion, OH and Evelyn Eichholz of Plainwell, MI. She was preceded in death by 4 sons, Joseph Allen McLane, Jeffery David McLane, Jerold Lee McLane and Brian Keith McLane and her brother, Russell Luce. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Elbern Householder officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
