Esther Helton

Esther Helton, age 96 of Charlotte, Michigan, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at the Eaton Community Hospice House. Mrs. Helton was born April 20, 1915 in Jaurez, Mexico, the daughter of Bernardo and Maria (Diaz) Morales and had been a Charlotte resident for 62 years. She was a Graduate of Olivet College and had been employed as a Key Punch Operator for the Secretary of State Office, State of Michigan. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Esther Renault of Charlotte and Julia Hays of Olivet; 1 son, Bruce (Linda) Helton of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Ben (Paula) Morales, Mary (Tony) Herrera and Frank Morales and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents and siblings, Lutheria Morales, Louis Morales, Angela Herrera, Joan Hernandez and Betty Bottelo. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at the Charlotte Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1516 S. Cochran Ave., Charlotte, MI with Pastor Charles Hanlon and Pastor Jeff Dowell officiating. There will be a luncheon at the Church following the Memorial Service. Interment will be in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran Rd., Charlotte, MI 48813.
