Eunice H. Fruin

Eunice H. Fruin of Bellevue, MI, age 95 went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Fruin was born July 15, 1918 in Hamlin, New York the daughter of William and Laura (Kenyon Martin and had been a Bellevue resident since 1946. She had been employed for 9 ½ years at Community Hospital in Battle Creek operating the Cardex system in the Dietary Department in addition to being a housewife. She was a longtime devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bellevue where she had taught Sunday school. She was a devoted caregiver for her World War Two Hero/Husband and Purple Heart recipient, Alden C Fruin (CPL-USMC). He passed away in 1996. She enjoyed crocheting gifts and making Cross Pockets for her family and friends. Surviving are: her daughter and sole caregiver, Susan (Wayne) Brovont of Bellevue; Linda Carty Family; grandchildren, Tim (Faith) Brovont and Paul (Lori) Brovont; great grandchildren, Sydney, Elise, Brenden, Seth and Noah Brovont; Ginnie Brown "Sis" and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Alden C Fruin; son, Jon Alden Fruin; grandson, Jon Carty and Sisters, Marian, Verna, Shirley, Maxine and Beverly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Bellevue with Pastor Don Francis officiating. Interment will be next to her husband in the Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte, MI and on Wednesday from 10:00 A. M. until time of services at the Church. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project, the Remember A Vet At Christmas Program through the Battle Creek V. A.
