Evelyn June Linton, age 59, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018. She was born July 31, 1959, in Lansing the daughter of Wayne F. and Nina M. (Foess) Sober. Evelyn was raised in Williamston, MI. She went on to graduate from Williamston High School in 1977. Evelyn was a very talented lady. She could often be found creating beautiful custom pieces of jewelry or arranging lovely floral bouquets. Evelyn also loved spending time working outdoors tending to her gardens and raising Pomeranians. She retired form McLaren Greater Lansing where she worked as a unit coordinator for over 33 years. Evelyn is survived by her son, Nicholas; mother, Nina M. Sober; siblings: Vicky VanDyke of Las Vegas, NV, Evert (Kollene) Sober of Charlotte, Brenda Sober of Charlotte, Ernest (Regina) Sober of St. Johns, Joshua E. (Cheryl) Sober of Charlotte; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Sober; and ex-husband, Jeffrey Scott Linton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 12 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Cottle officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Those desiring, may make contributions in Evelyns honor to the family.
