June Visger of Charlotte, MI, age 89 died Friday, December 06, 2013. Mrs. Visger was born May 31, 1924 in Hart, Michigan the daughter of James and Goldie (Lattin) Jeffries and had been a Charlotte resident for 19 years coming from Hart. She had attended Hart Schools until her senior year and later graduated from Olivet High School. She attended County Normal at Hart and later Western Michigan University. She was a retired School Teacher having taught for 10 years in Rural schools and 16 years at Pleasant View School at Hastings before consolidation with the Hastings School System. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Kalamo O.E.S. #399, was a member of the Barry County Education Association and the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church of Charlotte. She is survived by: her daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Tomlinson of Charlotte; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a brother, Ted (Wanda) Jeffries of New Era, MI. She was preceded in death by: her first husband, George Pease in 1967; second husband, Ellis Visger in 1988; son, George W. Pease, Jr. in 1996; two brothers, Arthur and James Jeffries and special friend, Menzo Howe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church, 210 E. Lawrence Ave., Charlotte with Rev. Gary Wales officiating. Interment will be in the Kalamo Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10-11 A.M. prior to the services at the Church. Memorial contributions may go to the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church.
