Frances Lorraine Taverniti

Frances L. Taverniti of Charlotte, MI, age 81, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing. Mrs. Taverniti was born October 13, 1933 in Maxwell, Pennsylvania the daughter of William and Anna (Tirak) Linderman and had been a Charlotte resident since 1963. She was a member of the Eaton Area Senior Center and the Red Hat Society and had been employed as an Inspector for Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Charlotte from where she retired. She enjoyed reading, shopping and visiting with friends. Above all else Frances was most proud of her family and cherished her family gatherings. Surviving are: 3 daughters, Beverly (Jerry) Davids, Barbara (Scott) Mann and Karla (Carl) Nowak; 1 son, Timothy (Brenda) Taverniti; 6 grandchildren, Sonia Root, Rachel (Joseph) Stambaugh, Kelly (Gerardo) Infante, Tyler Mann and Morgan & Grace Taverniti; 6 great grandchildren, Tayler, Taytem & Mya Hebenstreit, Jacob & Benjamin Stambaugh and G. Santiago Infante and 1 sister, Laura Sweet. She was preceded in death by: her parents; step-father, Mark Sooy; husband of 61 years, Victor in 2014; daughter, Brenda and sisters, Theresa, Mary, Betty, Ann Ruth and Shirley. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Fr. David Rosenberg officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of Memorial services. Inurnment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may go to the Eaton Community Palliative Care of Charlotte or the American Cancer Society.
