Gail Shilling

Gail Fay Shilling, age 64, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born June 3, 1957, in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Charles and Lila (Chatfield) Thode. Gail cherished her family and loved just spending time together. She also enjoyed crocheting, antiques, and traveling. Gail is survived by her companion, Marvin Hickok; children: Jasmine (Jake) Potter of Charlotte, Chad (Glenda) Shilling of Olivet, Benjamin Shilling of Charlotte, Cassandra (Shawn) Hickok of Charlotte, Lacey Hickok of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren; and sister, Debra Bradley of Grand Rapids, sister, Norma and brother, Norman. She was preceded in death by her parents. In keeping with Gail’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Those desiring, may make contributions in Gail’s memory to the family.
