Gary A Ripley

Gary A. Ripley Charlotte, Michigan Died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Gary was born Oct. 14, 1940 in Kalamo Township, Eaton County the son of Lemuel and Marietta (Edick) Ripley and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1958 graduate of Olivet High School and had been employed as a Supervisor for General Motors in Lansing retiring in 1994 after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Supervisor’s Council at G. M., was a member of the Centennial Acres Senior Golf League and the Zephyr Hills, FL Moose Lodge. Surviving are: his wife of 52 years, Janet (Hutchison) Ripley; Daughters, Kimberly (Hal) Wheeler and Mindy (Chris) Weaver both of Charlotte; two grandsons, Tyler (Jaclyn) Ripley and Travis (Katie) Ripley both of Charlotte; one great grandson, Max Ripley; his mother, Marietta Ripley; sister, Shirley Ripley and brother, Richard (Janice) Ripley all of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by sons, Randal Ripley in 1959 and Jeffrey Ripley in 1995, his brother, Don Ripley in 1964 and his father, Lemuel in 1994. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Mark Booth officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wellness & Recovery Rehabilitation Center, Charlotte or to Eaton Community Hospice of Charlotte.
