Gary Jackson

Gary Lee Jackson, age 71, of Mason, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, November 21, 2022. He was born April 5, 1951, in Battle Creek the son of Martin and Sara (Miller) Jackson. Gary graduated from Pennfield High School with the class of 1969. After high school he attended Ferris State University. Gary worked the majority of his career for the United States Postal Service. He served as postmaster in Prescott, Michigan for many years. Gary had a passion for all things outdoors. He loved hunting and was especially fond of his many hunting trips out west and to Canada. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed reloading all of his own rounds. Gary was an extremely giving man and would do absolutely anything for anyone in need. He adored his parents and cherished his entire family. Gary loved his country, was a true patriot, and was proud of the service men and women who have fought for our many freedoms.

Gary is survived by the love of his life, Jeanean; mother, Sara; siblings: Phillip Jackson of Charlotte, Phyllis Burcham of California, Sue Ann Johnson of Eaton Rapids; aunt, Hazel Miller of Battle Creek; numerous nieces and nephews who he loved very much; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home to share stories and memories of Gary.
