Gaylord D. Campbell of Olivet, Michigan, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at his residence. Gaylord was born July 4, 1950 near Mancelona in Antrim County, Michigan the son of Milo D. and Kathryn E. (Coger) Campbell and had lived most of his life in Eaton County, 37 years at Olivet. He had been employed at Leer Corp., had been employed as a custodian for the Olivet Schools, had been employed also for Fisher Body and Owens-Illinois Glass Co. He enjoyed Fishing and all kinds of game hunting including, pheasants, squirrel, Partridge, Deer and Hog hunting in Tenn. He was a member of the Mug Club at the Dark Horse in Marshall. Surviving are: his wife of 37 years, Catherine “Cathy” (VerPlank) Campbell, 3 sons, Michael VerPlank of Marshall, Christopher (Jenny) Campbell of Marshall and Robert Campbell of Electra, TX; daughter-in-law, Julie Campbell of Electra, TX; 5 grandchildren, Karlee, Annigale, Robert Douglas, Lacey and Christine; 4 sisters, Judy Campbell of Kalamazoo, Kathryn (Andrew) Pray of Dimondale, Veronica (Max) Crawford of Lakeview and Janet (Don) Merren of Charlotte; brother, Paul (Linda) Campbell of Charlotte; step-sisters, Pauline Bibler of Springport and Marlene (Paul) Stavros of Vermontville and sister-in-law, Barb Cole of TN. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Milo & Kathryn Campbell, brother, Gerald Marvin Campbell, step-mother, Frances Cole Campbell and step-brother, Leroy Cole. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A. M. until time of Memorial Service at the Funeral Home.
