George W. Riddle

George W. Riddle of Charlotte, MI, age 67, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. George was born Sept. 10, 1948 in Lansing the son of George W. and Phyllis (Goodrich) Riddle, Sr. and was a life resident of Eaton County. He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served in Viet Nam, was a Past Commander and member of V.F.W. Post 2406 in Charlotte and was a member of the Eaton County Buck Club. He was a retired employee of the Mich. Department of Veterans Affairs and had been employed by Crandell Brothers Trucking. Surviving are: his wife of 44 years, Darlene (Rogers) Riddle; Daughters, Kara Riddle and Kaci Riddle; Grandchildren, Taylor Wendorf and Haley Hansen; Siblings, Geoffrey (Diana) Riddle, Denise Riddle and Dale (Amber Harp) Wendel; Sister-in-law, Dixie Arndt; Father, George W. Riddle, Sr. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis (Goodrich) Wendel; step-mother, Wilma "Billie" Riddle and grandparents, Faye and Lucille Goodrich. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Major General Gregory J. Vadnais officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Memorial Service on Tuesday. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at the Gresham Cemetery.
