Harold I. Thompson age 84 of Charlotte, MI, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Battle Creek after an extended illness. Harold was born March 25, 1926 in Olivet, Mich. the son of Archibald and Harriett (Pullman) Thompson. He lived most of his life in Kalamo Township except for about 20 years that he lived in Jackson, MI. He served in the U. S. Navy Seabeas during World War Two and had been employed as a Machinist in a Stamping Plant. Surviving are: 4 sons, Michael (Susie) Thompson of Charlotte, Larry (Sue) Thompson of Dansville, David Thompson of Three Rivers and Danny (Donna) Thompson of Stevensville; 1 step daughter, Sandra (Paul) Smith of Lake City; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, June Shaver of Napoleon, OH and Sharon (John) Milbourn of Mass City. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie L. (Milbourn) Thompson; grand son, Tony Thompson; sister, Helen Magoon and brother, Earl A. Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Interment will be in the Kalamo Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo Township. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the Alzheimers Association. www.burkhead-greenfuneralhome.com
