Ilene Ruth Kleinfelt

Ilene R. Kleinfelt age 85 of Indian River, MI, formerly of Charlotte, MI, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at her residence after a long illness. Mrs. Kleinfelt was born Oct. 6, 1927 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Stankey) McGrath. She had been a resident of Indian River since 1985 moving there from Charlotte. With her husband, Charles F. Kleinfelt had owned and operated Kleinfelt & Son Well Drilling in Charlotte for 37 years until retirement. Surviving are: her daughter, Charlene Kleinfelt; 2 brothers, Robert (Juanita, deceased) McGrath and Gerald (Melisande) McGrath and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Kleinfelt in 1991. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, 206 W. Lawrence Ave., Charlotte, MI 48813 with Pastor Kelli Kleinfelt and Bryan Kleinfelt officiating. Interment will be in the West Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
