Jacqueline Jean Allen

Jacqueline Jean Allen of Charlotte, Michigan passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. “Jaki Allen” was born as Jacqueline Jean Cutler May 31, 1935 the daughter of John and Lillian (Murray) Cutler in Applegate, Michigan. For all those that had the privilege of meeting Jaki, we would all agree, she had a very special way of making each one of us feel like the most important person in the world even if for only a one chance meeting. Some of us were privy to the most famous front door "double entry". Where she would promptly back you out the door after your very first time crossing the threshold. As you were standing there in your bewilderment you were invited once again through the doorway, on your second entrance should smile laugh and say "the first time you came in you were a guest, the second time you are family!". That summed it up, everyone was family and that was how she helped us understand. She gave us all a big mission: To love like Christ and be loud about it. We were all touched by her faith and her love of music, writing and her unique mentoring style. Her deep roots of love in the community will thrive for years to come. Jaki is preceded in death by her parents John and Lillian Cutler and her precious granddaughter Jessica Darlene Groce. She is survived by: her husband of 62 years William (Bill) Allen Jr; Daughter Michelle Groce (Ron Groce); Son William Allen III (Deb Allen); Grandchildren William Allen IV (Tiffany Allen), Stephanie Allen, Gilbert Groce (Jessica Kliest), Eric Groce, Cedric Groce (Katelyn Groce), and nine great grandchildren.
