James David Cobb was born May 31, 1966, in Chaffee, MO and after a long battle with cancer, departed this world on April 12, 2018, in Charlotte, MI with his faithful companion Tacoma by his side. David shared a love of antiques with his wife and his love of classic cars with many people in his life. God had plans for David, and made sure David had the right people at the right time in his life. He was a firm believer that things were meant to be. David is survived by his soulmate and wife of 25 years, Laurie. Preceded in death by his mother, Doris when he was very young and recently his brother, Joseph (Joey). David leaves his father, James and Sherry (wife), sisters, Susan (John), April (Mike) and his sister Sheri and brother Gerald. David and Laurie were blessed with a daughter, Josie Mae Huff (Ryan) and 5 grandchildren, Amelia, Asher, Dakota, Laytin and Landin. Family and children were the light of his life. He shared his charming and charismatic personality with all his nieces and nephews-Jackie, Heather, Samantha, Mavie, Reese, Nic, Michael, Dalton, Chase, Victoria, Brandy and Jacob. David regarded many of his cousins as close brothers and sisters. He was raised by his Mom and Pop, Emma and Gilbert (paternal grandparents, both deceased) with boundless love and influence from Anna (Jim-deceased), Donnie, Dan, Margaret (Bill), Rene (Dennie-deceased), Bill and Jewell (Barry). David was also an important part of many lives including Laurie's grandparents, Arthur Ray and Mavis (both deceased), who loved him as their own. As were David's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Missouri at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in David's memory to Hope Lodge, 129 Jefferson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.
