Jane Arden (Mclane) Farley

JANE ARDEN (McLANE) FARLEY age 85 formerly of Bellevue, Michigan passed away peacefully on December 24, 2015 at her residence in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was born June 1, 1930 in Charlotte, Michigan to the late Owen McLane and the late Marguerite (Patrick) McLane. Jane was married to her loving husband the late Vernon Garfield Farley on August 21,1954; they were married 34 years. She devoted her life to working in the ministry. She was a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Church of God. Jane pastored a church in Tower, Michigan for a short time. Some of her positions included, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Worship Leader and she filled in preaching at various churches. She loved to cook for her family as well as cooking at camp meetings and church camp. The most important ministry she had was to her family. She was a loving mother, home maker, wife, farm hand and gardener. Jane gave often of her time and resources. She is survived by her children Patrick (Barbara) Farley of Georgetown, KY and Shad (Rev. Darrell) Young of Murrary, KY and Thomas Farley of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren Wesley (Pam) Young, Jonathan (Erin) Young, Jessica Farley, Kara Farley, Caleb Young, and Jordan Young; great grandchildren Tyson, Lakin, Charlie, Presley, Peyton and Braxton. She is survived by her brothers Carroll McLane, Terry (Louise) McLane, Michael (Nancy) McLane, David (Jody) McLane. Her sisters Joline McLane, Coralyn (Gordon) Sixberry, Julie (Bernard) Hall, Lonna (Lester) Bruder. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends and family. She is preceded in death by her sister Linda McLane; brothers Tom (Kathy) McLane, Richard (Dee) McLane, and Patrick McLane. The family of Jane wishes to thank her loving caregiver Angie (Pat) Damron who have cared for her the past 3 1/2 years. Jane was welcomed into their home and was considered a member of their family. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 2, 2015. Officiating the services will be Rev. Darrell Young. Visitation will be held prior to the service. Family hour 10-11am and friends may call between 11-1pm at the Charlotte Pentecostal Church of God on Jefferson Street. Burial will follow the service at Bell Cemetery in Bellevue. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Burkhead-Green Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
