Jeffrey Joseph Layman

Jeffrey J. Layman, 51, of Bellevue, formerly of Buffalo, New York, died unexpectedly August 22, 2018. Jeff worked at General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, walking his dogs, riding motorcycles, and having fun with his daughters, or as he called them "buddies". He will be forever remembered by his pride and joys, daughters Harley (21) and Katie (19), along with mother, Geraldine; brothers, Brian (Teresa) and David (Vicki); sister, Lisa (Larome); ex-wife, Kimberly; and his dogs; Duke and Fat Ass. He will also be remembered by numerous cousins, friends, and UAW members. Jeff joined his father, Gene, and his beloved Rottweilers; Thor, Bear, and Buddy in Heaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 10:30 AM at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917 with Rev. Fr. Vincent Richardson celebrating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home, Charlotte. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. Those desiring, may make contributions to help fund his daughters education.
