Jeffrey Roy Scott

Jeffrey R. Scott of Charlotte, Michigan, age 58, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at his residence. Jeff was born May 23, 1954 in Lansing, MI the son of Roy A. and Bertha L. (Brugh) Scott and had been a life resident of the Charlotte area. He was a 1972 Graduate of Charlotte High School and was employed at Spartan Motors of Charlotte. Jeff was a loving and devoted father. He attended every sporting event, band concert, and countless dance recitals. He had a remarkable ability to tell stories and talk with anyone, regardless of the person’s background. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting antique cars, and watching his Michigan based sports teams. He was proud and supportive of his family and would do anything to help them whether it was working on a car motor or just lending a listening ear. He was a great man and will truly be missed. Surviving are: daughters, Jessica Scott of Ferndale and Christine Scott of Lansing; sons, Daniel (Judith) Fletcher of Grand Ledge and Michael Fletcher of Charlotte; grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Mariah and Diego; sisters, Jo Hoffman of Eaton Rapids, Corky Jerick of Charlotte and Patricia (David) Scott-King of Marshall; brother, Brad (Becky) Scott of Charlotte and his best friend & canine companion, Eva. He was preceded in death by: his parents, sister, April Scott and granddaughter, Bailey Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor John Metcalf officiating. Interment will be in the Perry Cemetery in Brookfield Township. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
