Joan Evelyn Young

Joan E. (Copeland) Young age 85 of North Canton, Ohio, formerly of Lansing, MI, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Heather Ridge Assisted Living Community in North Canton. Mrs. Young was born June 21, 1927 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Linton and Gladys (Lane) Copeland. Surviving are: three children, David (Christine) Young of Charlotte, MI, Anita Stevens of North Canton, OH and Pamela (Mil) Hills of Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews from both the Copeland and Young Families and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Young family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 60 years, Rev. Cline F. Young in 2005, with whom she had worked in the Ministry of the Lord for over 40 years. She was multi-talented in the areas of Arts and Crafts and Cooking. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, 206 W. Lawrence Ave, Charlotte, MI 48813 with Rev. Jack Ross and Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Interment will be in the Deepdale Memorial Park Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
