John G. Raymond

John G. Raymond, age 95 of Charlotte, MI, died Saturday, September 08, 2012 at the Sensations Memory Care Residence in Charlotte. John was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Eaton County, the son of Earl and Maude (Hatch) Raymond and lived most of his life in Eaton County. He was a 1935 Graduate of Charlotte High School, was a life member of the Charlotte Lodge #120 F. & A. M. and was a member of the Lawrence Ave. United Methodist Church. He worked for 30 years at Allen Packing Co. where he became Shipping Supervisor and had been employed at the Care Free Products for 10 years in Supervision. Surviving are: his wife of 74 years, Jean (Crawford) Raymond; Daughter, Sharon (Paul) Spresser of Blissfield, MI; 2 sons, John H. (Linda) Raymond of Kalamazoo and Thomas (Cindy) Raymond of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren, Gwen (Larry) Cruz, Laura Graves, Erinn (Ken) Bentley, Kelley (Ben) Husband, Nate (Jessica) Raymond and Leslie (Damien) Wiesenfeld; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 sisters, Julia and Maxine; 2 brothers, Donald and Herbert and grandson, Gregory Spresser. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Kathy Smith of Gresham United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
